Mutton/Lamb Biriyani

            MUTTON / LAMB BIRYANI RECIPE 


Welcome Fam!! Today we will learn how to make easy step by step pressure cooker biryani.

Cook time: 1 hour 20 mins

INGREDIENTS:
  • Mutton / Lamb - 1 kg
  • Whole Spices (Cardamom - 6 to 7, Cloves - 5 to 6, Cinnamon stick - 4)
  • Big Onions - 8 nos
  • Tomatoes - 6 to 8 nos
  • Green Chillies - 10 to 12 nos
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Garlic - 10 cloves
  • Curd - Half cup
  • Mint leaves - Half bunch
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
  • Lemon - 1 no
  • Red Chilli powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Basmathi Rice - 5 cups
  • Water - 8 cups
  • Oil - tablespoons
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
METHOD:
•   Clean Mutton well.


•  Grind the whole spices. 


•  Grind ginger and garlic. 


•   Slice Big onions. 


•   Cut tomatoes. 


•   Slit green chillies. 


•   Chop Coriander leaves and Mint leaves. 


•   Heat oil and ghee in the cooker. 


•   Saute onions and green chillies. 


•   Add ginger garlic paste and saute well. Add tomatoes and saute it till it mashes well. 


•   Add Chopped coriander leaves and Pudina leaves.


•   Add chilli powder. 


•   Add grounded whole spices. 


•  Add mutton pieces and salt. Mix it well till it blends well.


•   Pour a cup of water. Close the lid of the cooker.


•   After a whistle or two, add rice and curd.


•   Then add lemon juice, water and salt.


•   Close the lid of the cooker and cook for 3 whistles. Open the lid when the steam has stopped. 


•   Mix it softly without breaking. 


•   Serve hot tasty biriyani with Raita. 

▪︎You can also use zeera samba rice. 
▪︎Can adjust spice according to your taste.
