INGREDIENTS:
• Mutton - 1kg
• Big onions - 3 nos
• Tomatoes - 2 nos
• Green chillies - 10-15
• Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
• Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
• Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
• Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
• Tamrind juice - 5 tbsp
• Coconut - 1/2 no
• Brinjal - 1/2 kg
• Potatoes - 1 big
• Drumsticks - 1 no
• Plantain - 1 no
• Green mango - 1 no
• Oil - 4-5 tbsp
• Ghee - 2 tsp
• Water - 2 cups
• Salt to taste.
METHOD:
• Clean mutton.
• Heat oil, add big onions. Saute it till its colour changes.
• Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes and saute it till it mashes well.
• Add green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper and saute it till raw smell disappears.
• Add mutton and mix it well.
• Add water and tamrind juice. Close the lid of the cooker.
• Cook till 5-6 whistles. When the pressure releases open the lid.
• Add the cut vegetables and salt.
• Close the lid of the cooker once again, cook for 1 whistle. When it's done open the lid. Add grounded coconut and garam masala powder.
Yummy Mutton Keeranur Kuzhambu is ready to serve with ghee rice!!
■ Adjust spice according to your taste.
■ Add more water if the consistency is thick.
