               Beetroot Curry/ Kuzhambu


Hello Fam!! Welcome ya'all to my blog. Today we will learn how to cook easy beetroot curry.

INGREDIENTS 
Beetroot - 2-3 (Medium size)
Big onions - 3 (Medium size) nos
Tomatoes - 3 now
Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Brinjal - 4-5 nos
Potato - 1 no (Optional)
Green chillies - 3 nos (Optional)
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnish
Oil 
 Water as required 
Salt to taste

METHOD 
Peel beetroot skin, wash and cut into cubes

Chop onions and tomatoes. Grind ginger and garlic. Cut brinjal. 

•   Heat oil, add big onions and saute well. Add tomatoes, saute till its soft mushy.

•   Add ginger garlic paste.

•   Add Chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Coriander powder. Saute till raw smell disappears.

•   Into this add beetroot, brinjal and potato. Saute it well. 

•   Add salt and water. Close the lid and cook till done. Open the lid now, add Garam masala powder and garnish with coriander leaves. 


 Yummy beetroot curry it ready and can be served hot with white rice.
